We recycle a wide range of non-metal waste types, resulting in clean, sorted, processed secondary raw material for use in the manufacture of new goods.

Plastics Recycling

Metal & Waste Recycling can deal with your waste plastic arisings in many different ways. We identify and sort your waste plastics into each individual grade using the plastic identification code as listed below with the common packaging applications for the type of material.

Grade Common Packaging Applications

PET = Soft drinks, water and salad dressing bottles.

PE-HD = Milk, juice and water bottles.

PVC = Juice bottles, Clingfilm's and pvc piping

PE-LD = Frozen food bags, squeezable bottles, flexible container lids

PP = Re-usable microwavable ware, kitchen ware

PS = Egg cartons, disposable cups, plates, trays and cutlery

O = Electronic casings, beverage bottles

Once identified your material can then be given the best route for reprocessing available. This will be based on both an economic and environmental policy that suits your company policy.

Glass Recycling

Metal & Waste Recycling can deal with your waste glass arisings in many different ways. We identify and sort your waste glass into each individual grade either for reprocessing, reuse or recycling.

Glass makes up a large component of household and industrial waste due to its weight and density. Every tonne of waste glass recycled into new items saves 315kg of carbon dioxide. 
We can collect your glass in any for using a diverse range of containers and vehicles. Here are examples of what your glass may be reused for:

- Ceramic, sanitary wear
- Flux agent in brick manufacture
- Astro turf
- Water filtration media
- Abrasive
- Aggregate

Cardboard and Paper Recycling

Metal & Waste Recycling can deal with your waste papers arisings in many different ways. We identify and sort your waste papers into each individual grade using the CEPI list.

Grade Description

Group 1 Unprinted wood free (high grade)

Group 2 Unprinted wood free (low grade)

Group 3 Mechanical

Group 4 Coloured wood free

Group 5 & 6 Newspapers, magazines

Group 7 New KLS and unused Krafts

Group 8 Used Kraft & OCC

Group 9 Mixed and coloured card

Wood Recycling

Metal & Waste Recycling can deal with your waste wood arisings in many different ways. We identify and sort your waste wood into each individual grade either for reprocessing, reuse or recycling.

It is estimated that 1.6 billion cu metre of wood is harvested each year world wide, 50 million tonnes of this is used in the UK annually. Your waste wood can be used in the following ways:

Horse, poultry and cattle bedding, equestrian surfaces, wood chip for fuel re-usable pallets and packaging.
