Health and Safety Policy

Metal & Waste are committed to ensuring the highest standards for Health and Safety for not only our staff but for visitors and contractors too.

Health and Safety is recognised by Metal & Waste as one of the key pillars of our success. The responsibility to ensure successful implementation and management of health and safety risk rests with all personnel, who are supported by a team of technical specialist.  Metal & Waste have achieved certification to OHSAS 18001 at one of our sites, with a goal to achieve accreditation across all locations, through the development of a full integrated management system certified to OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001.

Staff training is key to our vision of being the benchmark for Health and Safety within the industry and we have a rolling program of training and assessment, ensuring personnel are competent to undertake all activities and manging emerging risks.

Our commitment to health and safety extends beyond our own sites and we are proud to be part of FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) which aims to improve road safety, currently implemented throughout our London operations, and extending to all facilities.
